Social Media Specialist — Captivate Minds Marketing
Alexandria, Louisiana · Full-time · In-office
Captivate Minds Marketing is a full-service marketing agency based in Alexandria, Louisiana. We handle traditional and digital strategy, creative, media buying, and event promotion for a roster of clients across legal, healthcare, hospitality, retail, political, and arts sectors.
We're hiring a Social Media Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of social across our client roster. You'll work directly under our Social Media Director, who sets strategy — your job is to make it real: build the calendars, write the posts, ship the content, manage the comments, and report on what worked. If you're the person who actually enjoys the rhythm of a content calendar and gets a little satisfaction from a clean month of on-time posts, this is your seat.
What you'll actually do
- Build and maintain content calendars across multiple client accounts — different voices, different audiences, different platforms.
- Write social copy that sounds like the client, not like a template. This is a writing job as much as a posting job.
- Schedule and publish across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and wherever else a client lives.
- Manage community: monitor comments and DMs, respond in the client's voice, and escalate anything that needs a human decision fast.
- Capture light content in the field — phone-shot photo, stories, reels, event coverage. Polished editing lives elsewhere on the team; we need you able to get the raw material.
- Pull and interpret performance data. Monthly reporting that says what happened and what it means.
- Keep your work moving through ClickUp: own your queue, hit due dates, flag blockers early.
- Coordinate with our design, web, and media teams so social lands in step with everything else a client has running.
What we're looking for
- Strong writing. Clear, sharp, and adaptable across voices — a nonprofit, a plumbing company, and a law firm should not sound alike.
- Real hands-on platform fluency: you've run business accounts, not just personal ones, and you know your way around Meta Business Suite and native analytics.
- Organization under load. You'll juggle several clients at once; nothing can quietly slip.
- Comfort with Canva and basic design sense. You don't have to be a designer — we have those — but you should be able to make something clean without help.
- The ability to work independently. This is an in-office role, but we need someone who owns their queue without being chased.
- A good instinct for tone and risk. You'll be speaking publicly on behalf of real businesses; you need to know when something needs a second set of eyes.
- Bonus: paid social experience, short-form video, or background in a specific vertical we serve.
About the role We're a fast-paced, owner-led shop with a lot of clients in flight. That means variety, ownership, and real range — and it means we need people who like moving quickly and finishing things. Social here isn't an afterthought bolted onto a campaign; it's a department we built on purpose, and you'll have a hand in where it goes next.
To apply, send your resume and examples of social accounts or content you've personally managed. Tell us which parts were yours.
