Join our team as a Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) Interviewer and play a vital role in our data collection and survey efforts. In this position, you'll utilize a software-guided script to conduct telephone surveys, ensuring the accurate recording of feedback. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful research while enhancing your communication and problem-solving abilities. You'll be working on a significant project for the U.S. Federal Government, and this is strictly a non-sales role. Duration of Project: This 6 week project in total, will consist of one week of training followed by five weeks of in-person call center work.
Hours: 21-28 hours per week, 7 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week, day hours only. 9AM-4PM and 12PM-7PM shifts available.
Work Location: This is an in-office position (Rockville, MD), not hybrid or remote.
Responsibilities:
- Survey Execution: Conduct telephone surveys following the provided script, ensuring precise recording of responses.
- Verbatim Documentation: Accurately document verbatim responses, paying close attention to spelling and grammar.
- Customer Call Backs: Perform follow-up calls to gather additional information or clarify survey responses as needed.
- Flexible Scheduling: Work within a flexible schedule, available between the hours of 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Friday to meet the availability of survey participants.
- Problem Solving: Utilize problem-solving skills to manage difficult or irate respondents with professionalism and efficiency.
- Knowledge Maintenance: Stay informed about the organization’s survey programs and any updates to ensure accurate representation during surveys.
Additional Information:

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in telephone research and high volume calls
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Professional telephone manners
- Strong command of the English language
- Motivation and reliability
- Basic computer skills
- Confidence in engaging with people
- Willingness to learn and be results-driven
- Spanish Conversational Bilingual a Plus: Experience communicating about healthcare in Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Daytime availability is a must.
