Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, cleaned, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our laundry facilities, particularly within a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Launder and clean various types of fabrics including linens, towels, and uniforms using appropriate washing techniques.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry items for distribution throughout the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes as needed to ensure all garments are properly cared for.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve common goals.
