Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Deliver freight to various locations, including commercial sites, distribution centers, and customer premises, following designated routes
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with federal regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Comply with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the type of truck operated (e.g., refrigerated trailer, tanker)
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery driver roles
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
- Ability to handle freight manually or with equipment like forklifts when necessary for load & unload tasks
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and route planning using GPS navigation tools
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance

Pay: $6,055.00 - $13,500.00 per month
