Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Fiber Trailer Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting fiber optic trailers and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of fiber trailer systems, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable infrastructure solutions. Duties
- Inspection & Diagnostics
- Inspect trailers for structural damage, wear, or defects in fiber components including flooring
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
- Conduct regulatory annual inspections in accordance with applicable standards and requirements
Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine maintenance including repacking wheel bearings, checking and adjusting brake pads and drums, generator servicing, and tire maintenance
- Repair or replace damaged fiber parts, panels, and structural elements
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, lights, and other electrical systems
- Replace roof-mounted A/C units
- Repair and replace trailer accessories as needed
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and inspection findings
- Prepare and submit inspection reports for management and regulatory compliance purposes
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements
Experience
- Proven experience in trailer maintenance, repair, or a related field (commercial/fleet maintenance, heavy equipment, etc.)
- Strong technical knowledge of trailer systems including electrical, brake systems, lighting, wheels, suspension, and generators
- Experience in electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and thorough documentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
- Effective communication skills — able to clearly explain findings and repair needs to team members and management
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
