Job Description
Title: Supervisor FLSA Status: Exempt
Program: WV Birth to Three-RAU Classification: Full-Time
Worksite: TBD
Reports to: RAU Director
Position Summary: Provide leadership to RAU staff.
Essential Functions
-
Assist with leading and administering all aspects of Regional Administrative Unit (RAU) grant and program objectives.
-
Oversee program personnel.
-
Ensure program compliance.
-
Remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
Marginal Functions
-
Develop and foster collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.
-
Participate in all required committees, conferences, meetings and training relevant to the program and/or agency.

Participate in ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement activities.

Program specific duties
-
Serve as Interim Service Coordinator
-
Actively participate in Child Find and public awareness activities
-
Compile and submit reports within established timelines.
-
Respond to any inquiries within a timely manner.
-
Traverse various terrain to access visitation sites.
-
Any other duties as assigned.

Education
-
Required: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development or human services.
Experience
-
Required: Experience working with families and children in a management or leadership position in the field of early childhood education, child development or human services.
Employment Conditions

Successfully clearing the background check process, which may include: criminal background check, education verification, references, drug testing, motor vehicle records, sex offender registry, Child Protective Services check, and federal grants debarred list.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Adhere to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Code of Ethics.

Adhere to the Division of Early Childhood Council for Exceptional Children Code of Ethics.

Maintain STARS career pathway enrollment.
-
Able to travel extensively; requires the need for flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Maintain ISC credential.
Environmental Conditions

Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to temperature changes at least fifty percent (50%) of the time.

Prolonged sitting at a desk viewing a computer screen and keyboard typing.

Frequent face-to-face, electronic, and virtual interactions with internal and external customers.

Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.

Public contact position.

This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week following a successful 90-day review.
