Duties
- Responsible for thorough dishwashing using commercial-grade equipment, ensuring all utensils, cookware, and dishware are sanitized according to food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables by clearing dishes, glassware, and silverware promptly and efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and uphold hygiene standards in all cleaning tasks
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes, or supplies safely and correctly in accordance with health guidelines
- Support food preparation activities by organizing kitchen tools and assisting with basic food handling when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and dining areas through regular cleaning routines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods, including catering or banquet events
Requirements
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with dishwashing equipment are advantageous
- Experience in food service, catering, or hotel environments will be considered a plus
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards
