Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations at Champs Downtown. Responsibilities
- Operations & Quality Control: Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met across all shifts.
- Team Leadership: Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills, improve team performance, and promote a positive work culture. Lead by example in maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, safety, and hospitality excellence.
- Inventory & Financial Management: Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability. Conduct regular profit and loss analysis to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction strategies.
- Scheduling & Labor: Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours—including weekends and major sporting events—while maintaining labor budgets.
- Sanitation & Compliance: Oversee food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations; conduct regular sanitation checks and staff training on proper handling procedures.
- Service Integration: Foster excellent customer service by ensuring timely food delivery and addressing guest feedback professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food industry management with a strong background in kitchen operations, culinary arts, or hospitality management, specifically within a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team leadership skills; capable of training staff and managing schedules effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis.
- Prior experience in casual dining, pubs, catering, or hotel settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to interview candidates confidently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working efficiently in a demanding kitchen environment.
