New Directions Treatment Services is seeking an experienced Counselor to join our team. This position is fee for service which offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality outpatient behavioral health services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution.
- CADC certification
About Us: New Directions is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization recognized as a PA Center of Excellence for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder. We specialize in client-centered Medication Assisted Recovery and utilize evidence-based practices to support long-term recovery in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based practices, including behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize advanced skills, such as motivational interviewing, to address patient needs effectively.
- Stay current on best practices in mental health counseling and engage in ongoing training and professional development.
