First Trust Bank of Illinois is a locally owned and operated community bank with 6 offices in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties. First Trust’s team of experienced bankers works to provide the bank’s customers with a superior banking experience.
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the bank’s business and consumer customers. At First Trust, our friendly, professional Bank Tellers interface with the bank’s customers in the lobby, the drive-thru window, and via telephone and provide timely and effective assistance.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Processing check and cash deposits
- Cashing checks
- Handling cash
- Filling currency orders
- Processing loan payments
- Processing real estate tax payments
- Answering customer account questions both in person and via phone
- Assisting with online banking
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum one year of banking or customer service preferred
- Excellent communication skills required
- Strong technological skills and ability to learn new systems required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Schedule:
