A vacancy exists in the Bureau of Community Health Services, Department of Health and Human Services.

Under direction, develops, administers and convenes a collaborative initiative connecting public, private, and non-profit partners to enhance sustainable, equitable food access for high-risk communities through education and resource development.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES-
Provides programmatic support for the implementation of Baltimore County Food Security Council initiatives, policies and procedures with goal of enhancing food security across Baltimore County.

Conducts short-and long-range planning, monitors and evaluates overall program effectiveness and recommends modifications as necessary.

Coordinates the program with other County, State, and community resources and programs.

Prepares grant proposals and other reports pertaining to the program.

Seeks appropriate grant opportunities.

Prepares and monitors the budget and tracks performance measures for the program.

Prepares or reviews legislation pertaining to the program.

Develops and maintains management information systems.

Serves as the first point of contact for the Council and represents the Council at all meetings, conferences and community engagement events.

Represents and provides reports on behalf of the Food Security Subcommittee under the Local Health Improvement Coalition (LHIC), and develops actionable items for the LHIC Action Plan.

Develops public and in-service educational sessions and strengthens community partnerships thought outreach, engagement and event participation.

Selects and evaluates subordinate employees and/or service providers within the program.

Provides technical or program supervision to subordinate supervisors, case managers, and/or service providers.

Provides administrative supervision to professional clinicians and clerical staff.

Oversees the daily operation of the program

Provides program and case consultation to other community agencies or organizations.

Handles difficult or unusual cases including formal case reviews.

Resolves complaints.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Some positions may require satisfactory completion of County sponsored CPR and First Aid training. These positions must maintain certification throughout employment.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
These positions are essentially sedentary with some walking, standing, or other restricted physical activities. Some positions may require traveling between work sites.
Medical Examination and Employment Background Investigation
Applicants selected for an appointment to a position in Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination and drug screen and an employment background investigation, including, but not limited to a criminal background, education, and fingerprint check.
