Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician / Field Service Technician Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician to provide on-site and in-house repair services for medical equipment used in hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of medical devices efficiently. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within the biomedical field and involves travel to client sites as well as work in our repair shop.
Responsibilities: Travel to hospitals and healthcare facilities to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, ventilators, blood pressure monitors, and other durable medical devices. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on-site to ensure equipment operates safely and effectively. Diagnose equipment issues in the repair shop, prepare repair estimates, and conduct testing before returning equipment to clients. Maintain accurate service records through basic computer data entry. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications: Experience in a technical or repair-related field, preferably with biomedical or electronic equipment. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think logically and solve problems independently. Mechanical and electrical knowledge is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools, testing instruments such as multimeters, and reading electrical schematics. Excellent communication skills in English. Basic computer skills for record keeping. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle; company reimbursement provided for field travel. Preferred qualifications include biomedical equipment repair experience, field service technician background, electrical or mechanical repair expertise, and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
