Overview
Red Bank United Methodist Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic End-of-Day Support Staff Member to join our team! This position plays an essential role in supporting our teachers and ensuring our classrooms continue to run smoothly throughout the afternoon.
As an End-of-Day Support Staff Member, you will float between classrooms to provide teachers with scheduled lunch breaks and planning periods, assist with transitions, and help close classrooms at the end of the day. Every day looks a little different, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working with children of different ages.
Duties
- Provide classroom coverage so lead and assistant teachers can take lunch breaks and planning periods.
- Build positive relationships with children while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Support teachers with classroom routines, transitions, and daily activities.
- Assist with maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environments.
- Help combine and close classrooms at the end of the day while ensuring proper ratios are maintained.
- Communicate effectively with staff and families when appropriate.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and preschool policies.
- Work collaboratively with the entire preschool team to create a positive experience for children and families.
Requirements

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups throughout the day.
- Ability to lift, bend, and actively engage with children.
- Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background check and required training.
