Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting plants, gardening supplies, lawn care products, and outdoor equipment
- Provide expert advice on plant identification, horticulture techniques, floral design, and landscape maintenance to enhance customer satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and perform cash handling duties
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves efficiently, and ensure product availability for customers
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and replenishment of seasonal or popular items
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person to answer questions about products or services
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as lawn care, gardening projects, or landscape maintenance when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong interest in outdoor work, horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math principles
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of plant identification, floral design, and merchandising techniques preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain attractive displays
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and proactive approach to sales
- Prior experience with e-commerce platforms or online product knowledge is advantageous
- Valid experience in phone communication and retail sales environments
