We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a short-term Corrections assignment at a county detention facility in the Asheville, NC area. The facility provides healthcare services to an adult incarcerated population in a structured, secure environment.
Position Details

Contract Length: 8 weeks
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Shift Options: Days or Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay
Travel:
- $15/hour taxable
- $1,160/week non-taxed stipend
- Approx. $1,700 weekly gross for 36 hours
- OT: $45/hour
Local:
Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 yr experience as an LPN
- at least 3 mos experience in Corrections as n LPN
- Ability to work effectively in a secure, structured healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and treatment to incarcerated adult patients.
- Perform patient assessments, medication administration, treatments, and routine monitoring.
- Respond to medical concerns and assist with urgent or emergent patient needs.
- Communicate with the healthcare team and correctional staff regarding patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies and security procedures.
