Associate Teacher (3s/4s Classroom)
Salary: $60,000–$65,000 (10-Month Position)
The Art Farm Preschool is seeking a warm, creative, and collaborative Associate Teacher to join our 3s/4s classroom team.
At The Art Farm Preschool, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships. Our classrooms foster curiosity, confidence, and independence through hands-on experiences in art, music, nature, animal interactions, and sensory-based learning. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and excited to grow within a collaborative teaching environment.
This is a true co-teaching role, offering the opportunity to actively share classroom leadership while working alongside an experienced Lead Teacher. It is an excellent position for an educator looking to strengthen their teaching practice, take on meaningful instructional responsibilities, and grow into future leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Lead Teacher to implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum.
- Co-teach daily classroom activities and lead engaging small-group instruction that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and exploration.
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and responsive teaching practices.
- Assist with classroom operations, daily preparation, documentation, organization, and classroom management.
- Help maintain consistent routines, smooth transitions, and a safe, engaging learning environment.
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute ideas to curriculum planning, projects, and classroom experiences.
- Step into classroom leadership responsibilities when needed.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create meaningful learning experiences that reflect The Art Farm Preschool's philosophy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Warm, dependable, flexible, and professional.
- Passion for creativity, play-based learning, nature, and child development.
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000–$65,000 annual salary for a 10-month position.
- Compensation is based on education, certifications, and years of preschool teaching experience.
