Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service with a professional phone etiquette.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling relevant items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting stock counts.
- Engage customers in product knowledge discussions, promoting sales and special offers.
- Ensure the store environment is welcoming, clean, and well-organized to maximize sales opportunities.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing tasks.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous for understanding store operations.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike.
