JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Technician Supervisor
Reporting To: Executive Director
Full-time Exempt Position with Benefits
Position Summary:
This position will provide Technician leadership for the daily supervision of the inpatient treatment programs. The duties and responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the clinical supervisors, counselors and supervising the Technician staff in areas of program planning, security, client compliance to program structure, fiscal management, personnel management, and Technician performance assessments. The Technician Supervisor is also responsible for oversight of daily schedules and ensuring that all shifts are properly covered and that all Technicians are properly trained and operating within the rules, guidelines and policies of the Agency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the oversight and monitoring of all Technicians who are working in the inpatient programs as it relates to compliance to policies and procedures
- Provides direct supervision to Technicians and responsible for holding them to a professional standard of conduct
- Supports the clinical staff with program management ensuring that all Technicians are properly educated and trained in working in a substance abuse
- Oversees the coordination and compliance with all licensing standards
- Support and oversee all program rules and guidelines related to client programming and compliance
- Must approve and/or deny each Technicians Time in PayChex.
- Must monitor each Technicians weekly hours to ensure that they are working their required hours as well as monitor if they are adhering to the rules as it relates to overtime.
- Responsible for reporting all facility maintenance issues, including building upkeep to immediate supervisor
- Responsible for ensuring that Agency vehicle logs are properly maintained and that all vehicle maintenance issues are addressed
- Ensure that there is clear communication between you and the Inpatient Clinical Supervisor to ensure that there is coverage for all services that are being provided either internally and/or externally
11. Responsible for the proper training of staff in medication assistance
12. Must be or become Medication Certified
13. Ensures that Technicians are receiving direct support and assistance on all shifts including overnight
Position Objectives:
- Provide a safe, clean, well-maintained, and orderly facility for clients.
- Demonstrate and communicate knowledge of Agency’s policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain a structured environment for residents.
- Present and model a positive image for residents.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED 3 years of experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, which includes supervision of others, direct service, program planning and familiarity with the the recovery process (preferred but not required)
Candidates must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience, clean driving record with no violations within the last three years, ability to pass a pre-employment or random drug testing and background checks.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties described herein, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, maneuver stairs, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Location/Environment:
The position will be housed in our 1300 Woodberry Road office.
This position will involve travel to other worksites, all within York County.
