Job Summary
Beanstalk Academy, a leading full-service child care and early education provider with 10+ locations in the Bronx and Brooklyn, is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of our students, from preschool to pre-kindergarten, in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans, promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children
Support students with individualized needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students from diverse backgrounds
Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and respect for all materials and equipment
Engage in activities that promote socialization, teamwork, and inclusivity among students, including circle time, group games, and other interactive activities
Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and guardians to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
1 year of experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood education setting
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment
