Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced HSE Tech to support Primoris Energy Services in Haskell, TX by assisting in the implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and help prepare detailed reports.
- Support the delivery of safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing refresher courses.
- Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Assist in the development and revision of safety procedures and work instructions.
- Promote a strong safety culture through active participation and communication with all levels of staff.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Respond to and assist in emergency situations as required.
- Collaborate with project management and site supervisors on safety-related matters.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the construction or energy services industry.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Ability to conduct effective safety inspections and investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and interact with diverse groups of employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to travel to various job sites within the Haskell, TX area and surrounding regions as needed.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, which may include walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
