Pay
Starting Rate: $21.31/hour (A new contract is in negotiation so this will be going up!)
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate buses on city and suburban routes
- Assist passengers, including wheelchair securement
- Provide courteous and professional customer service
- Observe and report unsafe or unusual conditions
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- At least 18 years old
- Valid New York State Driver’s License to apply, CDL Class B License or Learner Permit to be hired
- Safe driving
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate professionally with passengers and staff
- Neat and professional appearance
Physical & Work Environment
This position involves extended periods of sitting while operating a bus, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and assisting passengers. Operators work primarily indoors but may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vehicle vibration, noise, and fumes.
