Associate Program Manager
Location: Hill Air Force Base, UT. Clearance Required: Secret (Top Secret Preferred). Employment Type: Full-Time.
About the Role
The JAAW Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking an Associate Program Manager to support mission-critical technology programs for Department of Defense customers at Hill Air Force Base. This role serves as the operational backbone of complex government programs by coordinating project activities, tracking schedules and performance metrics, maintaining technical documentation, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and technical teams. The Associate Program Manager plays a key role in ensuring projects remain compliant, organized, and on schedule while supporting continuous process improvement and successful program execution.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items across multiple projects.
- Track project status, performance metrics, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and status briefings.
- Support communication and coordination between government customers, program leadership, subcontractors, and technical teams.
- Assist with project planning, resource tracking, and schedule management.
- Monitor project compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and government standards.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
- Assist in developing presentations, reports, and documentation for customer meetings and program reviews.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is organized and current.
- Perform other program management support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance required prior to onboarding; Top Secret preferred.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of project coordination, program management, or related experience.
- Experience supporting government contracts or working in regulated environments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government programs.
- CAPM, PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications.
- Experience with project scheduling or project management software (Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Technical background supporting IT, engineering, cloud, or cybersecurity programs.
- Experience developing performance metrics, dashboards, or executive-level reporting.
