Under supervision, serves as work lead for carpenters and helpers assigned journeyman tasks in constructing and repairing structural components and equipment; builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, installs ceiling and flooring components, fabricating and installing infection control containments and barriers, etc. Provides instructions to carry out assigned tasks. Makes minor changes in material needs or modifications to assigned work due to material delays or other problems. Communicates work order revisions, material delays or other problems to Supervisor. Maintains time and material records. Performs other related lead job duties as required.

A minimum of six (6) years of construction trade experience as a Carpenter.

Experience constructing and repairing structural components and equipment; building, repairing, and installing counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, installing ceiling and flooring components.

Healthcare environment experience.
- Prior demonstrated leadership experience.

Prior construction administration experience to include knowledge and experience with RFI’s, change orders, and ASI’s.
- Fabricating and installing infection prevention containments and barriers.

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $101,435 - $101,435 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $48.58 - $48.58
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
