Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinical team in delivering high-quality primary care services. This role is primarily clinical, with a strong emphasis on patient care, clinical accuracy, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in hands-on clinical procedures, while also being comfortable using modern healthcare technology such as EMR systems and digital health tools.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities (Primary Focus)
- Assist the Nurse Practitioner during:
- Patient assessments
- Examinations
- Minor procedures
- Perform and document:
- Vital signs
- EKGs
- Vaccinations
- Venipuncture (blood draws)
- Prepare and maintain:
- Examination rooms
- Clinical equipment (cleanliness, sterilization, readiness)
- Handle laboratory workflows:
- Collect, label, and process specimens accurately
- Coordinate with labs for timely reporting
- Support patient care:
- Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-ups
- Ensure patient comfort and understanding
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Support and assist in care programs, including:
- Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)
- Chronic Care Management (CCM)
- Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to:
- Infection control protocols
- Clinic SOPs
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- 1+ years of clinical/outpatient experience
Technical Skills:
- EMR/EHR systems
- Basic clinical equipment (EKG, vitals, etc.)
- Microsoft Office / digital tools
Preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability (strong plus)
- Experience with preventive care or primary care settings

Compensation
- $16 – $24/hour (based on experience)

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
