Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Architect to join our design team, bringing visionary ideas to life through expert planning, detailed drafting, and sustainable solutions. Duties
- Develop comprehensive construction drawings and detailed documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and ArchiCAD to ensure precise project execution
- Coordinate project schedules and manage timelines effectively to meet deadlines without compromising quality or design integrity
- Conduct building code analysis and ensure all designs adhere to local building regulations, accessibility standards, and construction regulatory compliance
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for efficient project management and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare accurate construction estimates and budgets; assist in construction estimating and cost control efforts throughout project phases
- Lead negotiations with clients, contractors, and vendors to secure favorable contracts while maintaining project scope and quality standards
- Oversee the creation of construction accessibility plans, interior design details, and renovation strategies that prioritize sustainability and user experience
- Collaborate on business development initiatives by presenting design concepts, preparing proposals, and fostering client relationships
Experience
- Extensive knowledge of construction management processes including scheduling, budgeting, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (including Grasshopper), ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Sketch for conceptual design, and Adobe Creative Suite for presentations
- Hands-on experience with building code analysis, sustainable design principles, renovation projects, and interior architecture
- Familiarity with construction accessibility regulations and the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for project coordination
- Strong understanding of construction estimating techniques and experience managing project timelines using project scheduling software like NavisWorks or similar tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients and contractors while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- 5+ years experience preferred
