Janitor
We are currently hiring Janitors to support daily cleaning and sanitation operations at the VA Perry Point Medical Center. This position is critical to maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Compensation: $17.75/Hour + $5.09 Health & Welfare Pay

Shift: 2 shifts available:
First Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Second Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Floor Care (Carpeted & Non-Carpeted)
- Dusting
- Furniture Care and cleaning
- Window cleaning
- Laundry Service
- Restroom and Shower Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Servicing
-Clean Exam Room/Tables
- Waste/Trash Removal (Including Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) ‘Red Bag’ Bio-Hazardous Material)
Qualifications
- 1-2 Years of janitorial or environmental services experience
- Healthcare or hospital experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
- Knowledge of proper chemical use and dilution.
Requirements
- The ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Government Background Check & Fingerprinting
Medical Requirements
- Employees must be in good physical health as to not pose a risk to patients and be cleared for fitness of duty to perform physical tasks required for the job such as lifting up to 50lbs, prolonged standing, walking, and frequent bending, and must be medically cleared to wear respiratory protection
- Hepatitis B vaccination series – (not required but strongly recommended)
