An established engineering consulting firm is in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their mechanical team. This position, based onsite, concentrates on the design, planning, and execution of large-scale utility generation and distribution projects for various industries.
The ideal candidate will take on a leadership role, providing technical guidance, managing projects, and working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop engineering documents, calculations, and equipment specifications in compliance with project requirements and codes.
- Conduct mechanical engineering calculations and technical analyses.
- Approve utility system and equipment selections and drawing submissions.
- Lead procurement activities for utility and energy projects.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and subconsultants.
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
- Support other engineering disciplines as needed.
- Create campus utility master plans and technical reports.
- Participate in industry events and organizations.
- Assist with project cost estimating and planning.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or willingness to obtain licensure.
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Expertise in utility generation and distribution system design.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience with infrastructure projects or plant operations.
- Field work may be required occasionally.
- May involve navigating uneven terrain and lifting equipment.

$115,000 – $173,000 annually with potential for annual bonus. Compensation based on experience, qualifications, education, and location.
