Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all hospital areas, including kennels, treatment rooms, surgical suites, and public spaces using proper aseptic techniques.
- Assist in animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and providing comfort to animals in our care.
- Handle animals safely during restraint procedures for examinations, medication administration, or laboratory testing.
- Support veterinary staff with basic animal care duties including monitoring vital signs and assisting with animal restraint during procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance of hospital equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Support front desk operations by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as sample collection and processing under veterinary supervision.
Skills
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care best practices.
- Experience with veterinary terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to handle various animals confidently including dogs, cats, and equines with patience and care.
- Familiarity with veterinary clinic operations such as front desk duties and laboratory procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting animals or equipment safely and standing for extended periods.
