This role is designed to teach you the flow of a busy restaurant, build confidence with guests, and prepare you for what comes next.

Why This Role Matters
As a Service Assistant / Host, you are the first and last impression of Uptown Cantina. You control the energy at the door, support the service team, and help the dining room move smoothly during high-volume shifts. You’ll learn how great service actually works—timing, communication, teamwork, and guest connection.
This is a hands-on, high-energy role and a proven pathway into serving and leadership for those who show up hungry to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests with confidence, warmth, and genuine hospitality
- Manage seating flow, wait lists, and accurate quote times
- Support servers by running food, refilling drinks, and resetting tables
- Keep the host stand and dining room clean, stocked, and organized
- Communicate clearly with the team to keep service running smoothly
- Bring urgency, professionalism, and positive energy to every shift
