Job description:
We are a well-established CPA firm in Mobile, Alabama, serving individuals and small businesses with tax, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and consulting services. We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
- Perform bookkeeping and general accounting duties
- Process payroll and payroll tax filings
- Prepare financial statements and reconciliations
- Communicate with clients regarding tax and accounting matters
- Assist with tax planning and other client projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or currently completing degree)
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines during tax season
