Plaintiffs’ personal injury law firm in Melville is seeking a full-time, experienced, and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal with a minimum of five (3) years of experience handling negligence and personal injury matters.
The ideal candidate must be capable of managing cases through all phases of pre-litigation and litigation, from intake through trial preparation, while maintaining professionalism, organization, and strong client communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of personal injury and negligence cases from intake through litigation and trial preparation;
- Conduct new client intakes and obtain relevant accident, liability, and injury information;
- Maintain regular communication with clients via phone, email, and text regarding case status, treatment, and case progression;
- Assist clients with scheduling and coordinating medical treatment and obtaining medical records;
- Manage pre-litigation matters, including treatment monitoring, insurance communications, no-fault coordination, and preparation of settlement and special packages;
- Draft complaints, bills of particulars, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents;
- Participate in formulation of discovery strategy with attorneys;
- Draft and respond to discovery demands, including requests for production, interrogatories, notices, and requests for admissions;
- Prepare motion papers, including motions to compel discovery and related applications;
- Conduct legal research relating to pleadings, motions, and litigation strategy;
- Draft correspondence to clients, medical providers, experts, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel;
- Maintain case calendars, monitor deadlines, and schedule appointments, depositions, court appearances, and IMEs;
- E-file court documents and maintain proficiency with NYSCEF filing procedures;
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and additional litigation support as needed.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Qualities:

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
