The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, meal preparation in a healthcare setting, and a commitment to food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes that enhance our offerings.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs for restocking as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficient in meal preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
