Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail treatments such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity
- Maintain the highest standards of sanitation and sterilization to ensure client safety and comply with health regulations
- Provide personalized consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable nail services or products
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using salon software like Millennium or MINDBODY to optimize client flow
- Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat visits
- Upsell retail products related to nail care and beauty treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Stay current on industry trends, new techniques such as nail extensions or dermal fillers for nails, and incorporate them into services
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar cosmetology role with a strong portfolio of nail art and treatments
- Certification in Cosmetology or Nail Technology from an accredited program is required
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and best practices in a salon environment
- Familiarity with salon management software such as Millennium or MINDBODY is preferred
- Experience with additional beauty services like eyelash extensions, body waxing, or makeup application is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clients
- Previous experience in retail sales or upselling beauty products is advantageous
