Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Pay $25/hr
12-Month Contract
About the Role:
You’ll be driving advanced self-driving cars to help test and improve their performance. Your job is to stay fully alert, monitor the vehicle, and ensure safe operation at all times.
What You’ll Do:
Safely operate autonomous vehicles on public roads
Stay alert and ready to take control at any time
Monitor vehicle performance and road conditions
Perform basic vehicle checks before each shift
Provide feedback and complete daily reports
Interact professionally with team members and riders
Schedule Options:
Tuesday – Saturday (8 hrs/day)
5:00 am - 1:30 pm (am shift)
5:30 am - 2:00 pm (am shift)
6:00 am - 2:30 pm (am shift)
6:30 am - 3:00 pm (am shift)
3:30 pm - 12:00 am (pm shift)
4:00 pm - 12:30 am (pm shift)
Friday – Monday (10 hrs/day)
4:30 am - 3:00 pm (am shift)
2:30 pm - 1:00 am (pm shift)
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of driving experience (valid U.S. license)
Clean driving record (no DUI or major violations in last 5 years)
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Comfortable driving in different weather and road conditions
Good communication skills
Hiring Process:
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required before driving test
Must pass a driving test
Final onboarding
