American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Post Partum position in Honolulu, HI, requiring a valid HI RN license and proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring and high-risk medication administration.

Day/night variable 12-hour shifts (7:15 PM – 7:45 AM)

Active HI RN license required — pending licensure not accepted

Active certifications required at time of consideration: BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

All licenses and certifications must be active — pending credentials are not accepted

Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent post partum nursing experience

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
-
Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
-
Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
-
Demonstrated knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin)
-
Demonstrated ability to perform urine point-of-care testing and capillary blood glucose testing
-
Demonstrated knowledge of iStat
-
Demonstrated ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring
-
Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitoring including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
-
Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns
-
Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication administration including IV administration and maintenance
-
Demonstrated knowledge of bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers
-
Demonstrated knowledge to support gynecological teaching, post-operative bladder training, and maternal-newborn teaching

Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

BSN or related field preferred

Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience preferred

Minimum 3 years of post partum experience preferred

Minimum 1 year of med/surg nursing experience preferred

Local candidates are accepted — local and travel rates are the same

Per Kaiser Permanente policy, contingent workers may not exceed two years of cumulative assignment time without a minimum 90-day break
