CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS ANALYST
Job Summary:
LTC Rental Sales is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team.
LTC Rental Sales is a specialized equipment supplier providing trucks, trailers, and additional support equipment to large scale projects across the United States. With the best rental equipment and support in the industry LTC Rental Sales strives to continue growth while maintaining the best customer experience in the industry.
This is a new position. You’ll partner closely with our Rental and Sales teams, and work alongside our experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk, who handles payment processing day-to-day.
Most of what you’ll see is rental-related: a contractor opening a new account, a fleet customer running past due, a question about charges on a closed contract. Our customers are spread across the country, so the work is mostly phone and email — part analysis (reading credit reports and account history) and part conversation (working through disputes, agreeing on payment plans).
Essential Functions:
· Review credit applications: Review credit applications from new customers — mostly rental accounts — and decide on credit limits and payment terms.
· Analyze credit information: Pull and read credit bureau reports, check trade and bank references, and document your decisions.
· Monitor accounts receivable: Watch the AR aging every day and follow up on past-due accounts by phone and email.
· Resolve customer disputes: Work with Rental, Service, and Billing to resolve customer disputes (charges, damage, returns, billing errors).
· Negotiate payment plans: Negotiate payment plans, with appropriate approvals.
· Recommend account actions: Recommend when to put an account on credit hold, take a unit off rent, or refer to outside collections.
· Report on AR status: Send out a weekly aging and collections update so management always knows where AR stands.
· Support month-end close: Help close out the month by making sure AR is current and clean.
· Improve the process: Look for ways to make the credit and collections process faster and more consistent over time.
Required Experience:
· 2+ years of B2B credit, collections, or accounts receivable experience.
· Comfortable on the phone with customers — both setting credit limits with new ones and asking existing ones for payment.
· Able to read a basic financial reports and a commercial credit report (D&B, Experian, Equifax).
· Solid Excel skills (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, basic formulas).
· Organized and self-directed — you’ll be running your own queue without someone checking your work every day.
· Honest, professional, and good at keeping the customer relationship intact.
Preferred Experience:
· Experience in equipment rental, trucking, leasing, fleet, or another asset-based business.
· Familiarity with Excede / Procede or another dealership / rental management system.
· Some accounting or finance coursework — a degree isn’t required, but it doesn’t hurt.
· Knowledge of mechanic’s liens or UCC filings.
Work Environment
· This is a full-time position with standard hours of 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional additional hours during month-end close or for time-sensitive collections matters.
· Primarily indoor office work at our Longview, TX location.
