The Job to be done is to perform food plant sanitation much like a pit crew in a race, where speed and reliability win the race. Doing the work safer, faster, or easier provides more production time for our customers.

This role is responsible for performing sanitation and cleaning throughout the interior of the plant and the offices. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations, and laws addressing food safety and food quality, as well as environmental safety in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Crew Members are the experts that perform sanitation work. And as a team of experts, they identify opportunities for improvement & solve problems by:
- Participating in huddles using a scoreboard, focusing on the day's objective & giving input on how to best do the work.
- Performing the days work, owning the results, and making observations on how the work might be done safer, faster & easier.
- Being part of Race Planning Meetings: Utilize your unique strengths as part of an elite team using a step-by-step continuous improvement process to identify & solve important challenges.
- Meet with leaders regularly in a PVS (Personal Vision of Success) meeting to set and accomplish your personal goals with the company's support.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Executes the sanitation and cleaning plan for daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation in all parts of the plant and warehouse as directed by the Crew Chief
- Maintains all appropriate sanitization and cleaning documentation as directed, including the Master Sanitation / Cleaning Schedule
- Supports the implementation and monitoring of all food safety and food quality standards, regulations, and laws concerning sanitation and environmental safety regulations and notifies the Sanitation Team Leader of any concerns or opportunities for improvement
- Assists production with packaging, palletizing, and other duties, as needed
- Keeps work environment clean, safe, and positive
- Present a good and positive business image in every aspect of your professional daily business
- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires effective and clear written and oral communication skills in the English language to clearly communicate with other team members

Requires the ability to handle and operate motorized equipment for cleaning purposes.

Work Environment
The incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts and in high places. He/she will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, water (part of the rinse/clean process), and cleaning chemicals. There is moderate noise in the work environment.
