Position: Port Security Officer
Terminal Security Solutions is hiring Port Security Officers to support security operations at Port Canaveral.
This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, professional, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in a busy port environment.
Pay & Schedule
- $18.65 per hour
- Part-time
- Availability required Thursday through Monday
- Shifts may fall between 4:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational needs
- Same-day job offers may be available for qualified candidates
Responsibilities
Port Security Officers may be responsible for:
- Monitoring access points and secured areas
- Checking identification and required credentials
- Verifying TWIC cards and other access credentials
- Monitoring passengers, employees, vendors, and vehicles
- Conducting security patrols
- Documenting security activity and incidents
- Providing professional customer service
- Following applicable port security procedures and regulations
- Supporting a safe and secure environment throughout port operations
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Valid and active Florida Class D Security License
- Valid TWIC card or TWIC receipt
- Two valid forms of identification
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening
- Ability to successfully complete required drug screening
- High school diploma or GED
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Required availability Thursday through Monday
