Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes in California. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on designated routes from Los Angeles to Bay Area.
- No Touch Freight
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times, route changes, or issues encountered during transit.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
- Ability to handle manual and automatic transmission trucks and perform handling tasks safely.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight management.
- Must be able to load & unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety compliance.
