Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Landfill Gas Civil or Environmental Engineer to join a leading environmental engineering team supporting solid waste and sustainability initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to landfill gas systems, environmental compliance, and infrastructure design projects impacting both private and municipal clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to grow within environmental consulting while working on projects that contribute to renewable energy development and greenhouse gas reduction efforts. The role offers a strong mix of fieldwork and office-based collaboration, along with exposure to client engagement and project lifecycle management.
You will work alongside experienced engineers on landfill gas system design, permitting, and construction efforts, as well as support compliance and operational monitoring across a variety of environmental projects.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Support landfill gas system design, permitting, and construction documentation
- Assist in preparing engineering plans, specifications, and calculations
- Perform field activities including site inspections, construction oversight, and environmental sampling
- Support air quality compliance and environmental reporting requirements
- Analyze laboratory data and assist with regulatory submissions
- Utilize CAD tools to develop site plans and system layouts
- Contribute to client meetings, proposals, and project coordination
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Travel up to 20% for project-related site visits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Background in environmental consulting or solid waste industry preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software tools
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Nice to Have
- AutoCAD experience
- EIT certification
Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
