Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our Kitchen team in a Part Time Role 15 - 25 hrs / week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a strong understanding of food handling practices and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing meals according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary.
Skills
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is essential.
- Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
