Mural City Cellars is Philadelphia’s first independently-owned urban winery. Our small, passionate team makes dry, fruit-forward wines with grapes sourced within 300-miles of the city.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing & Events Coordinator to support our Senior Brand Manager with our growing private events program and overall brand presence. This role is at the heart of what makes MCC a destination - from helping to coordinate private events and public programming to keeping our social media feeds fresh and our community informed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-forward environment, brings a genuine enthusiasm for community (and wine!), and can move seamlessly between the logistical and the creative.
Key Responsibilities:
Private Events
- Serve as the primary point of contact for private event inquiries, bookings, and day-of coordination
- Execute all administrative tasks related to private events, including contracts, BEOs, invoicing, and client communications
- Help to ensure seamless execution of private events from initial consultation through post-event follow-up
- Assist in creation and management of private event collateral, pricing, and venue guides
Public & Onsite Programming
- Assist with planning, and executing onsite public events such as wine classes, seasonal celebrations, and monthly Drag Shows
- Help coordinate logistics, licensing, vendor relationships, and event-day setup and breakdown
Social Media
- Support MCC's social media presence through creative content creation, scheduling, and community engagement
- Work with Senior Brand Manager to create and execute a content calendar that reflects the MCC brand voice, upcoming events, and seasonal offerings
- Capture photo and video content as needed to support social channels
- Monitor performance metrics to inform content strategy
Newsletter & Email Marketing
- Write, design, and distribute MCC's monthly newsletter
- Help to maintain and grow the email subscriber list; ensure list hygiene and segmentation best practices
- Track open rates, click-through rates, and other engagement data to continuously improve campaigns
Website & Digital Content
- Assist with maintenance and regular updates to the MCC website
- Ensure all web-facing content is accurate, on-brand, and optimized for readability and SEO basics
Marketing Materials & Signage
- Assist with the creation of promotional flyers, signage and digital graphics
- Maintain a library of up-to-date branded templates and assets for recurring use
- Help to create and maintain a comprehensive photo database for use across marketing efforts
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate with have:
- 1-3 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a related field
- Hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization
- Experience in the following platforms preferred (but not required):
- Canva for creating marketing materials, graphics, and signage
- Squarespace for routine content updates, page management and newsletter distribution
- QuickBooks for event billing and financial tracking
- Strong written communication skills. You can write a newsletter, a private event email, and a caption that all sound on-brand
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Availability to be onsite for key events, including evenings and weekends as needed
- A genuine interest in the MCC community, brand, and mission — wine knowledge is a bonus, not a prerequisite

- Hourly - $25/ hour
- Sick Time - 1 hour for every 40 hours worked at start of employment (max 40 in a calendar year)
- Wine Education - Employees who have completed 90 days of employment are eligible for up to $250 reimbursement toward manager-approved successful completion of WSET Level I, Level II, or equivalent courses (six months of continued employment required post completion)
- Employee Discount - 25% discount on retail bottles of wine, your check when visiting the bar (some exclusions may apply), and merchandise
Typical Schedule
20-25 hours/week total:
- 21 admin hours on weekdays (ideally Monday, Wednesday & Friday)
- Weekend and evening events, as needed
