CareMont is a small, family-style Level 1 care home. We are currently seeking a live-in overnight caregiver to join our home and serve as our night emergency contact in exchange for free private room and board.
Location: St. George, Utah
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 6 nights per week
Compensation: No pay; position includes private room + meals + utilities
Position Details:
- This is a non-medical, emergency-only role.
- You do not perform caregiving tasks overnight.
- Your primary responsibility is to be on-site (sleeping or awake) and available in case of an emergency (e.g., call 911 if needed).
Ideal For:
- A responsible, mature individual or couple looking for stable housing in exchange for overnight presence.
- Retirees, remote workers with flexible schedules, or those with caregiving or healthcare experience are welcome to apply.
- A College student looking for a quiet, stable housing situation with minimal responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be reliable and present during scheduled overnight hours.
- Ability to wake and respond promptly to emergencies
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures exactly
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to respond calmly in emergencies and communicate effectively with staff or emergency services.
- Must pass background screening.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required (may be obtained upon starting position).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to get up quickly from rest or sleep
- Ability to walk the facility as needed during emergencies
- Ability to respond promptly in urgent situations
Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
