This is a professional and supervisory position in the Human Resources Section of the Miami-Dade County, Aviation Department. This position is responsible for supervising and planning departmental personnel activities and exercises extensive independent decision-making and resourcefulness in the resolution of personnel and administrative issues. This position plans, assigns, and reviews work of professional subordinates engaged in recruitment for the Aviation Department as well as compensation actions. This administrative position has department wide impact on all policies and procedures, administration, and compliance for the Recruitment Unit. This position is responsible for interpreting department and County Policies and Procedures, Administrative Orders, Personnel Rules, and Collective Bargaining Agreements, provides guidance to management and staff at large, and makes recommendations for personnel action as appropriate.
