Brew Bird is a cafe and creative space seeking to build a team of professionals to support both the creative and operational aspects of our cafe.
Our ideal Studio Assistant will have:
- Weekend availability
- Experience operating a kiln a plus but not required
- Basic ceramics knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Experience in the food service industry
- Experience with point of sale operations
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to a fast paced environment with a wide range of tasks
- Strong initiative and problem solving skills
- Willingness to obtain a food handler’s card
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting guests with selecting pottery pieces, paints, and tools
- Maintaining a clean and organized studio space, including tables, shelves, and painting kits
- Handling transactions and processing payments efficiently and accurately
- Monitoring and restocking inventory of paints, brushes, and supplies
- Load, fire, and unload kilns adhering to safety standards and company procedures
- Working collaboratively with café staff and other team members, assisting with dishes, and acting as expo when needed
- Maintaining a positive and inviting environment for guests and our team
Details:
- Position: Studio Assistant / Expo
- Part-time: 3-4 shifts per week
- Compensation: $17.50 per hour + tips
- Flexibility for opening and closing shifts is required
