The Ivory Dental – Winter Park, FL
The Ivory Dental is a privately owned, modern dental practice in Winter Park looking for a motivated college student to join our team in a unique paid position.
This role was originally created specifically for a pre-dental student, and we're excited to open it again after our previous team member left to begin dental school.
While this position is especially well suited for students planning a career in dentistry, we also welcome applicants pursuing other healthcare professions such as medicine, physician assistant, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, or similar fields.
This is not a traditional dental assistant or dental laboratory position. Instead, you'll work directly with the dentist and our team on digital dentistry projects while also helping with light front desk responsibilities.
What You'll Learn
You'll gain hands-on experience with:
- Dental 3D printing and digital dentistry
- Fabrication of dental appliances
- Digital workflows and modern dental technology
- How a privately owned dental practice operates
- Patient communication and front office operations
- How we're thoughtfully incorporating AI into our practice
If you enjoy technology, engineering, software, automation, or AI, there may be opportunities to expand the role based on your interests.
No previous dental or technical experience is necessary. If you're an enrolled college student, we'll teach you everything you need to know.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Curious and eager to learn
- Detail-oriented
- Reliable and dependable
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Friendly and professional with patients and teammates
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time available
- Minimum of 16 hours per week
- Fridays (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required
- Flexible scheduling around college classes whenever possible
Preferred Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a healthcare-related career preferred
- Pre-dental students are especially encouraged to apply
- Interest in technology, engineering, digital workflows, or AI is a plus
Why This Role Is Different
Many entry-level dental jobs focus primarily on chairside assisting or front desk duties.
This position gives you exposure to the technology that's rapidly changing dentistry while allowing you to work closely with the dentist in a supportive, privately owned practice. It's designed for someone who wants meaningful experience before applying to professional school or beginning a healthcare career.
If you're looking for a position where you can build practical skills, learn how a modern practice operates, and work with emerging dental technology, we'd love to meet you.
