In this role, you will be working both inbound and outbound freight. Loading and unloading material, driving occasionally. Picking/Packing, labeling. Inspect product to determine compliance with drawings and specifications. You must be a professional and reliable self-starter with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. You must also be highly organized and deadline-oriented with strong multitasking skills and excellent attention to detail. Personal strengths required: Ability to learn, open-minded, flexibility to embrace change and an eager attitude along with integrity and honesty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accurately and efficiently perform warehouse duties that will include any shipping, receiving, or inventory related functions
- Follow Quality Procedures (QP’s) and job specific duties as described in TWL and/or SXe. Training
- Adhere to applicable Policies and Procedures (PPD’s) and all work rules as found in the GT Midwest Employee Handbook
- Complete Haz-Mat training and follow all applicable regulations
- Complete fork lift training and operate forklift equipment safely
- Communicate with Warehouse Management of any problems, questions, or other concerns
. Requirements:Education and/or Experience
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing operations
- Experience with material handling equipment
- Experience working in a customer oriented, fast paced operation
- Experience with RF scanning operations a plus
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English to co-workers, managers, and possibly customers or vendors
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills are needed to access different programs in the GT ERP system
Mathematical Skills
Daily use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, calculating square footage of product will be necessary and understanding use of decimals and/or fractions will be necessary
Physical Demands
Warehouse Team Members will be required to use hands and arms to grab, feel, lift, push, reach; Other physical activities will include walking, standing, bending, and squatting. Employees will be required to repetitively lift up to 60 lbs
Work Environment
Fast paced warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 60– 100 degrees
