We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Resident Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. In this vital role, you will serve as a caring companion, ensuring residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being while fostering a warm and engaging community atmosphere. Your dedication will help residents maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life through personalized assistance and attentive care.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Provide medication administration under supervision or as trained, following proper protocols for safety and accuracy
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies to promote safety and engagement
- Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents with special dietary needs
- Use EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems to document care activities accurately and maintain detailed resident records
- Support residents during outings or appointments by driving or accompanying them as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
