Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as a Before & After School Early Childhood Teacher (ECT). This role is crucial in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students. The ideal candidates will have experience working with children and a strong commitment to fostering their development through various educational and recreational activities.
Hours: 3:00PM-6:15PM
**MUST HAVE (verifiable) experience working with kids ages 3-5 years**
Duties
- Supervise and engage with students during program activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist in the planning and execution of educational programs, including tutoring, sports coaching, and arts & crafts.
- Provide support for students with special needs, utilizing behavior management strategies as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized space conducive to learning and play.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to effectively guide student behavior.
- First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Experience in special education or working with children who have diverse needs is highly valued.
- Teaching experience or background in early childhood education is beneficial.
- Familiarity with childcare practices, including daycare or babysitting experience.
- Background in camp counseling, tutoring, or sports coaching is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to engage students through creative outlets such as theater or arts & crafts.
