The Gochenour Insurance Agency with Farmers in Conroe is hiring Insurance Sales Producers to join our growing team!
Our agency is expanding in the Conroe area, and we’re up to big things. We provide Auto, Home, Flood, Commercial, and Life insurance to help protect individuals, families, businesses, and their assets. As an Insurance Sales Producer, you will be the face of our agency for new clients and help them find the right coverage for their needs.
This is a performance-driven sales role with base pay, commission, bonus opportunities, and uncapped income potential. Your base pay provides a stable foundation, while your commission rewards you directly for what you produce. Prior insurance experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person and help them through the licensing process. A Texas Property & Casualty license will be required, and Life & Health licensing is optional but preferred.

This position includes a $2,000/month base pay, commission opportunities, bonus opportunities, and uncapped income potential. Successful producers can realistically earn $60,000+ in their first year through base pay, commission, and bonuses.

Qualifications for the Insurance Sales Producer:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Sales experience, insurance experience, or a client-facing background is preferred
- Strong interest in sales, business development, and client relationship building
- Proven track record of winning or high achievement
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening
- Motivated by goals, commission, and performance-based income
- Professional, reliable, and coachable
- Comfortable making outbound calls and asking for referrals
- Organized and able to manage multiple prospects, clients, and follow-up tasks
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn CRM software
- Reliable transportation to our Conroe, TX office
- Willingness to obtain a Texas Property & Casualty insurance license
- Life & Health license preferred but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
- Must be able to pass required background and licensing requirements
Responsibilities for the Insurance Sales Producer:
- Sell auto, home, flood, commercial, and life insurance products
- Create insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales
- Conduct needs assessments and recommend coverage based on each client’s situation
- Quote and follow up with leads, referrals, and inbound inquiries
- Cross-sell and bundle policies to provide more value to clients and improve retention
- Generate new business through prospecting and referral relationships
- Build relationships with realtors, lenders, auto dealers, business owners, and other local professionals
- Establish client relationships and follow up with clients
- Manage client information, sales activity, and follow-up tasks in the agency CRM
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly client support
- Meet monthly production goals and grow your book of business over time

What kind of training will I receive?

Is prior insurance sales experience required?
No! Prior insurance sales experience is preferred, but it is not required. You don’t need to know everything about insurance to apply. We are willing to train the right person and help them through the licensing process.

Schedule:
This is primarily a full-time, in-office position. We may be open to part-time candidates depending on experience, licensing status, and overall fit.
